Our History

Established in 1918 by Mr. J.U. Criswell, Criswell Funeral Home has been a fixture in Ada, Oklahoma, moving to a new air-conditioned building in 1928 and later relocating to its current address at 815 E. Arlington in 1978 after 50 years of service at the 12th street location; now, it continues to be run by the Criswell family and has been serving the community for over 100 years.

      The staff at Criswell’s Funeral Home was not only very professional but very caring and personable.  From pre planning to the final stage of life the staff was nothing less than wonderful.  During a difficult time such as this,  it is comforting to know that your loved one is being taken care of the way they would have wanted.  Our families are most appreciative of everything all of you did to help us through this final journey of our mother’s life.

      We have used Criswell for several years..the most recent this May (2023) for my husband's Celebration of Life.  In addition to the basic services that any Funeral home provides, Criswells goes beyond and above in their attention to detail and making arrangements with other parties involved in the service..ie Honor Guard, etc. Their staff is also excellent and go above and beyond to meet any and every need.
